Pizza Thief

Pizza Thief is a newer kid to the block, now serving up some of the best pizzas in Portland!

I would not have discovered this place if it wasn't for DoorDash as it's tucked away in the kitchen of the Slabtown location of Great Notion brewing, which I haven’t really frequented - more on that below.

UPDATE! Pizza Thief has just opened a new location on Division in SE.

Anyway, Pizza Thief popped up on my DoorDash app and I saw they were very highly rated and had a gluten free crust. Sold!

I went with the Hot Tony pizza as my first order, which I highly recommend if you like a spicy pie! Also delicious is the Wildwood pizza, which is vegetarian and loaded with earthy mushrooms, but I highly recommend adding fennel sausage to take this one to the next level.

The crust is fluffy and crispy and toppings super flavorful. Pizza Thief is one of the best gluten free pizza places in town at the moment!

So the first and only time I had previously visited Great Notion is when I was dragged there after a long hike in Forest Park. And unfortunately, at the time they had no gluten free alcoholic beverages of any kind - no gluten free beer, cider, wine, hard seltzer, canned cocktails - nothing. Given the food then was standard brewery grub (but not on par with some of the amazing food available at other Portland brewpubs), I had no reason to return.

But, based on other online reviews it seems that at times they've had gluten free drink options, but there's just no level of consistency, so I'd recommend calling first if you're hoping to get an alcoholic drink along with your gluten free pie. Would love to hear a positive update on that front!
