my favorite gluten free items from the grocery store!

I have personally purchased and enjoyed every item on this list. This page contains affiliate links. See our disclosure policy.

Freezer Staples

Canyon Bakehouse Heritage Whole Grain Gluten Free Bread - By far the best gluten free bread in size and shape. Wonderful for avocado toast or any grilled sandwich.

Applegate Gluten Free Chicken Breast Tenders - Great for dipping into my tzatziki sauce!

Applegate Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets - Great for kids!

Beecher's Gluten Free "World's Best" Mac & Cheese - Expensive, but top notch for a freezer meal!

Strong Roots Sweet Potato Fries - Great flavor and texture! I always add a little smoked paprika to these (and the sweet potato puffs below). These cook up great in the air fryer!

Alexia Sweet Potato Puffs - Love these healthy tots! Did you know chilled or frozen starchy foods create something called “resistant starch”? It’s better for insulin response and promotes a healthy gut!

Applegate Chicken and Sage Sausage - My favorite breakfast sausage. Such a unique flavor.

Pantry Staples

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour - This is the best way to make any standard baked good gluten free. With other gluten free flours, you may have to experiment with amount and ratios to get the proper consistency for baked goods. Worth it if you’re trying to eat lower carb, keto and relying more on coconut and almond flours, but if just going gluten free, you can’t beat the ease of Bob’s 1 to 1! Also love purchasing this brand as it’s locally produced in Milwaukie, Oregon, just south of Portland!

Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn - This stuff has always been addictive, but especially when I can’t eat things like Cheez-It’s any longer, this popcorn fills a cheesy void!

Hippeas Groovy White Cheddar Chickpea Puffs - similar to the popcorn above! Super addictive, and actually doesn’t use cheese at all, so it’s a wonderful vegan treat. My only complaint is how much this stuff builds up around my teeth and gums. I feel like a squirrel with a big nut harvest in my gums if I eat too much!

Milton's Gluten Free Fine Ground Sea Salt Crackers - The first gluten free cracker I ever tried. Milton’s was a favorite before, and they definitely do not disappoint with these! The texture and consistency of these crackers makes them perfect for dips too as a healthier potato chip substitute.

Banza White Cheddar Mac & Cheese - My go-to boxed mac. Makes me feel a little less guilty with all the added protein from the chickpeas. Also, don’t forget to use my boxed mac and cheese hack!

Jovial Gluten Free Mac & Cheese - Also delicious, but without the protein boost of the Banza. Just use my boxed mac & cheese hack for this for extra protein and flavor!

Rao's Arrabbiata Sauce - No jarred sauce can compare. This has a nice, spicy kick, and I like to doctor this one on occasion with some vodka, parmesan and heavy cream to give it a vodka sauce flair. Apparently, Rao’s vodka sauce is the only one they make that carries a risk of glutening due to the vodka used.

Sweet Treats

Tate's Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies - Nice large “chips ahoy” style crispy chocolate chip cookie. One of these days, I’ll have to try making an ice cream sandwich with them - I think they’d be perfect!

Gluten Free Oreo Cookies - The gluten free version of the classic! Always brings back memories. It’s way too easy to eat too many of these though!

Fridge Staples

Amylu Chicken Meatballs - Great flavor and super tender. Love getting to enjoy meatballs again!

Dietz & Watson Chicken Sausage - Asiago & Spinach - One of my favorites to cook up and throw into my Banza pasta with Rao’s sauce.

I do plan to update this page with new finds and would love feedback on anything wonderful you’ve tried! Email me anytime!
